Bart Constant

Bart Constant - "Do Better" (with Dustin O'Halloran) from Kimmo Films on Vimeo.

I just can't get this song, or clip, out of my head. This is a beautiful track called Do Better from a guy who calls himself 'Bart Constant'. This is a brilliant example of music and pictures working together seamlessly. Just perfect and so very moving. I love the understatedness of it with the bleak, communist country repressive undertones and the dull winter colours. It's like a mini-movie where you know how it's going to end but you still can't look away. And geez, it's sad!

I don't know anything about this guy but will have to look out for his upcoming album. If the rest of it is anything like this then I'll be grabbing a copy for sure.

God, it's stunning. It's kind of wings of desire meets let the right one in. It's the 'Lada' shot that finally breaks one's heart (sniff) Very accomplished on all levels. thanks gg. jx

It is stunning isn't it! There's a bit of Sigur Ros going on too with the building melody and prevailing sadness. The Lada seen is a killer.
