Just found out that REM has finally called it a day. This the band and this is the song that started everything for me. From 'Life's Rich Pageant', Fall on Me was a revelation and it made me realise, as a young guy who loved music, that there was a whole other world of quality music behind the 'Top of The Pops' facade of lazy, mainstream, over-produced rubbish. It was not only better music but more importantly, it was mine. Goodbye and thanks.

Vale REM
